10,000 Fists is Disturbed's third album, and after the monster success of the first two The Sickness and Believe, they had quite some boots to fill. The bad news is that they probably haven't lived up to their hard-hitting billing. There is good news however, as you can definitely see some development in the construction of songs. You know they are capable of more, hence it can be doubly frustrating. A powerful epic along the lines of earlier-Metallica will be seen soon from them, what with better crafted guitar solos, and more depth to the vocal range.
The album bursts right out of the blocks; the title track has you pumping your fist in the air, and with 'Guarded' and 'Stricken' definitely two of the highlights of this album. 'Stricken' has some complex melodies in it, and let's you know about the magic word about Disturbed - potential. The halfway mark is a turning point in that it signifies the onset of a series good songs, but nothing great. 'Land Of Confusion' is a remake of the Genesis original, a good touch that.
They will be touring on OzzFest '06 with System Of A Down this summer, let's hope they can pick up something to show on their next album.

disturbed is the best i have the sickness, ten thousand fists, and believe and i listen to them every day.
Disturbed just keep getting better and better. Draiman's vocals never disappoint me. Love the cover songs, want to see more of those soon. I own all three albums but yet to see them live. Will be going to Nottingham in October even if I have to go alone!!!!

I love disturbed! I have all of the albums and I saw them last year at Rockfest 10. It was wicked! The song 'Stricken' and 'Down with the Sickness'should win an award! I dont think i'll ever be tired of them!

Disturbed rocks, sons of plunder, guarded, deify, ten thousand fists, all the best songs ever. By far best group ever, amazing drums, fast guitar, and one hell of a singer, you cant get much better, especially while working out.
DISTURBED kicks massive ass bro...i listen to so much shit but disturbed the best out of all them....i mean i listen to killswitch engage, haste the day, van halen, led zepplin, 2pac, gangstar, jay-z, and all this other shit but disturbed is the best band there so good i wish i could see a live concert and meet them cuz they are the shit bro

disturbed is the best i agree with the rest of u. i cant find one song on The Sickness that i dont like and on Believe and Ten Thousand Fists there isnt a single song that bothers me except maybe Sons of Plunder(TTF) because its rite be4 my favorite song on the c.d. lol
Disturbed is THE BEST there is out there. Got believe, the sickness and 10 000 fists on an mp3 only cd in my car dont need anything else ha ha. Whoever gives 10 000 fists needs a hearing aid cos that fucker isnt hearing the same stuff as the rest of us. Sickest voice around too and awesome guitar and drums = Disturbed. Hey, DISTURBED definitely deserves a 10/10 at the very least. I believe they are the best rock band to this day. I have alot of cd's, and do like a variety of music, but I always listen to at least one of DISTURBED's cd's at least a few times every day. I'm not sure I understand the meanings of all their songs, but for the ones I do understand, I believe. DISTURBED rocks!...and I believe their only gonna' keep rockin'.
just to clarify what i said.. i rate Disturbed much more highly than the meager 7 i gave this album.. but i really preferred their older sound!!
